Mia's Easter Pictures

Here are some pictures I took of Mia today in her Easter outfit. While it is not super-Eastery (is that even a word?), I wanted something she could still wear in the Spring/Summer. She was in a very happy mood as you can see, but let me know how she felt after me taking pictures for too long (last picture). I shouldn't even include that picture, but it is too funny to leave out!

Meeting Baby Bruno

On Tuesday, Mia and I headed over to my 3rd grade teammate Dayna's house to visit her new baby boy Bruno, along with some of my other teammates. He was the first boy out of all of the girls! It was fun getting all the babies together!

We Have a Tooth!

Today we headed to another zoo-the Brookfield Zoo. We just got a membership there since they have a great teacher rate, so we visited there today with Sarah, Ian, Aidan and Ava. Mia is absolutely crazy about animals, whether it be Zip, a stuffed animal, or the goats at the zoo. I know we will be spending a lot of time at the zoo this summer. On the way home Mia was getting crabby and I realized that I hadn't been watching the clock and she needed a bottle-bad mommy! So I climbed into the backseat and fed her back there. As I was sitting with her and checking out her mouth, I realized that her first bottom left tooth came in. She has been teething on everything lately, so I wasn't totally surprised, but I was expecting some degree of crabiness before the tooth came in. Luckilly that didn't happen. It isn't all the way in yet, but you can see the white poking its way through. I love all these milestones!

Trip to Lincoln Park Zoo

Today was Mia's first trip to the zoo. Cort and I headed down to Lincoln Park Zoo and met up with Pam and Rebecca. It was another beautiful day and we had so much fun. We got to see the apes (one which charged at us beating his chest-thank god for the bars between us!), the giraffes, the monkeys, the penguins, etc.... But what was Mia's favorite part of the zoo?? That would be playing in the grass for the first time and picking up all the small sticks and dirt. I can't wait for summer when we can do this all the time!

Spring Break!

Cort and I are officially on Spring Break! We were able to enjoy our Sunday knowing that we don't have to go to work for the next week-woo hoo! To add to that, it was almost 80 degrees here today. Here are a couple of pictures of Mia sitting out on the deck. In the last one you can see how excited she was to help Cort brush Zip.

Spring is Here

Spring is now officially here! Mia is enjoying getting out for walks in the warmer weather and stopping by to visit her cousins Aidan and Ava right down the street.

Puffs

So we gave Mia those little Gerber puffs that dissolve easily when they get in a baby's mouth. Well, that would be IF they got in her mouth. Mia enjoyed trying to get them in her mouth but had more success with them sticking to her hands. I guess we will keep working on it!

Another Busy Weekend

We had another busy weekend! First Mia helped her friend Samantha celebrate her 2nd birthday. Samantha had a Elvis/50s-themed birthday party and all the girls got poodle skirts to wear, even the babies! Mia looked so cute in hers! Mia also had a visit with Grandma, Aunt Jen, and Noah.
