Calvalcade of Planes

Back in early June, Cort and I took the kids over to the Bolingbrook Cavalcade of Planes. My mom joined us and Jen and Mike met us there. Cort's mom and Sarah and Ian also showed up with the kids and we bumped into Andy and Samantha and a bunch of other people we knew-I guess free stuff in the summer attracts quite the crowd!

This was our second year going (click here for last years pictures-Mia was so little!!) and it was a really cool event. It is so nice to have a little airport right in town and they do a great job with this event. Mia got to sit in several airplanes and the kids were excited to also watch all the planes flying overhead. Cole is especially into airplanes so his eyes were to the sky quite a bit! The best part for me was that we got Mia fingerprinted (Cole is still too young) and got a DNA collection kit from the police department (sad but true).

After we checked everything out we headed over to Wendys again with everyone for lunch and some frosties-yum!
